Because we didn't have the time to comment during Round 4, I'll just give an all around update which covers all of Round 4 and up through the nominations of Round 5...
So, up until just literally minutes ago, I didn't really mind Adam. Yes, he was slightly cocky. Yes, he's been herding most of these players the whole game and having things work out for him. And yes, he sabotages Sandra (whom I like) and then proceeded to fight with her. But, amongst all of this, I didn't blame him for the others letting him run the show, and I admired his spunk and motivation. However, with the way he just totally disrespected Sandra after Sean nominated her, my respect for him plummeted as far as a player. I do NOT want him to win at this point. Basically, I think it was VERY weak of him to wait until Sandra was nominated. For all Adam knew, had Sean made a smarter nomination (more to come on this when I discuss Sean), Adam could have been the one on the block. Basically, Sandra is the one who has been overcoming the odds, not Adam, and so I just think that his jab at her was completely classless and unnecessary. I kind of can't wait till he's on the outs and struggling just to stay in the game... *sigh*
Bradley... Bradley who? That seems to be a more appropriate question lately. He's GREATLY hiding in the shadow of Adam, and as much as Adam keeps commenting on wanting Bradley out, it's not happening and Bradley remains 2nd hand man to Adam. I guess I just want Bradley to step it up and play for himself. He's a likable guy, but he needs to make his own moves, rather than just moving with the crowd. While it's a good setup, it's boring, and I can't see it getting much love from a jury if he makes final 2. Overall, I still like Bradley, I just want to see him make a name for himself.
Britney.
Last round saw her leave, and I REALLY thought she was a heavy contender to possibly win. She was playing a very strong floater game, but I guess that's what cost it for her in the end. I loved her OTT rants and celebrations. She kept it cool for the most part publicly, but let her emotions run wild in her DR. I truly am sad that she left so early. I think she just seemed to have some bad luck in this game, which unfortunately happens sometimes.
This girl is the biggest fucking mystery of them all. Sometimes I hate her, sometimes I am just like what are you even doing? I feel like she's totally clueless, yet just following Adam in his little rampage to control the house. I highly doubt she will pull out a win, but it seems nobody is targetting her, even though she'd be like my first target for how absent she seems from the game, and how crazy she acts at times. *puzzled look*
Poor Drew. I think he's like a lost puppy. That HoH was kind of a fluke in my opinion, and then he had to nominate 4 FOUR people while in power. His putting up people from both sides made it apparent that he's really in no official alliance, which makes him expendable, yet highly likely to float into the top 5 without anybody batting an eye. He'll have no chance at a win though because his game is just miles away from some of these other cut-throats.
Holy mother of pearl. Johnny calling out Adam in the Round 5 Nomination Ceremony made me want to jump and start singing Joy to the World! Where did that even come from? I was pretty certain that Adam and Johnny were tight. Now, I know that Johnny has been VERY successful in playing most of the sides in this game. We saw him close to Mike and Britney, both who left, but at the same time, working his connection with Adam. I have been very impressed with his gameplay the entire time, and this recent outburst REALLY shocked me, but made me love him all the more. What will this do for his game? I don't know. See, if Johnny is smart enough, which I think he is, he'll pair up with Sandra and Lindsay, and hopefully talk some sense into Sean, so that they can combat the Adam/Bradly/Kate/Dianna/Nicki alliance. Wow, this game just got even more intense with the possibilities of what could happen next.
Meh. I am not sure what to think of Kate. She's part of the power group that seems to be controlling things, but her activity has kinda faded. She's not telling us what's going on in her DR, but she has time to stick up for Adam in the Adam/Sandra fight. Her HoH win did put Mike out the door, which will speak volumes on her potential F2 resume, but I see Kate kinda fading as the game goes? Is it just me? I don't have anything against her, but I'm not loving her as much as I did earlier in the game.
Haha, this girl went from my shit list to my A-list. While she can drive me nuts at times and I think she's a VERY reckless player, I have enjoyed rooting for her as the underdog. Pulling that 2nd power from her ass was like GO GIRL! as she slammed it in Drew's (well Adam's really) face. Her pairing with Sandra was quite unexpected, but shows that they are both smart players, realizing that they had no other options. She's been on the outs since day 1, but still fights like hell. Wouldn't mind a miracle to save her this round, because I think her time has unfortunately come...
While he left 2 rounds ago, I never got to fully comment on his exit here in the blog. Basically, he took a risk, and it didn't pay off. I understand why he did what he did. His action made it possible for the BEST possible outcome, but also for the worst. Yes, Sean was his ally, but Lindsay was stronger to have around for him, especially with her power. Mike will be missed, but he did play a strong game, despite being very short. I think he can say with 100% conviction that he's sitting in pre-jury because he was a GOOD player, and not because he didn't deserve to go farther. I think that most of the cast is probably relieved in a way that he went so early, bc he was a definite contender to win.
Like Lindsay, I am liking Nicki more and more each round. While she's currently aligned with that power group it seems, she realizes the importance of cutting away from them soon, as she's shared with me in a chat. I think that she plays a very driven game, and while a bit off the wall at times, she means what she says, and she is thinking for herself for the most part, despite voting in the majority. I want to see her win an HoH soon though, to see how she TRULY handles the spotlight. Could be interesting.
Where to start? I think that Sandra stepped up a tad too late. Her strategy seemed to be a smart one, but she ran into one giant problem in Adam. I know that the game hasn't been all that fun for her, but can you really blame the girl? She's been misunderstood from an outsider perspective, as the viewers seem to dislike her. But from an insider perspective, we can see that she's actually a strong player who's just kinda sick of the bullshit and following mentality that many of the players are having. I don't see her lasting much longer, but wouldn't it be great if we saw her take control of this game like I'm sure she is capable of? I just doubt that will actually happen though.
Sean, Sean, Sean. This latest round was your greatest weakness in my opinion. I had high hopes for your nominees, but you went the route in which I feared. Sandra said it best in her DR, but you think you're playing your own game, when you're clueless to the fact that this is exactly what Adam and his posse wanted you to do. Who do you think they'll go after once Lindsay and Sandra are gone? Coulda played this round a lot better in my opinion. However, I'm not sure that you've ruined your chances completely. We'll see what happens, but I don't think that this HoH round was used to the best of your benefit in the end.
