Johnny Knoxville, Standing at Attention!
Hey guys,
First of all, I want to say thanks to everyone because this game was an absolute blast. It had dedicated hosts, competitive players, unique challenges and a sexy ass website. I feel lucky to have had the chance to play with all you guys, because I feel I have made a lot of real friends throughout this ORG. And I also feel fortunate to have made it to the finals with such a great ally to me throughout this game. To top it all off, I got to represent for one of my favorite celebrities ever... the Jackass himself, Johnny Knoxville!
Probably the main reason I had such a great time was because I was extremely dedicated to this game. I hold the view that you will only get as much out of an ORG as you put into it, so I gave it my all from beginning to end. I’m not sure how evident it may be from an outsider’s perspective, but I worked hard for my seat in the finals. I think what got me to the end is a combination of strong social skills, a keen read on the house, and an accurate sense of self awareness.
I will be the first to admit that challenges were not my strong point in this game. This cast had a lot of great competitors in it, and despite working incredibly hard at some of them, I finished with only two wins under my belt. This was really frustrating for me because I am used to winning a lot more in most ORGs. But I am kinda glad it happened the way it did because it forced me to step up my strategic and social game, and I feel that in those two aspects of the game I was unparalleled.
Strategically, I would describe myself as an opportunist. I was always looking for how I could position myself in the best possible way in the game, and sometimes that required making decisions that I did not really want to make. There were a few different times in this game where I voted with majority simply because I didn’t want to make waves, but if I saw a chance to shift things to a more favourable outcome for me, I always took the chance. I also made sure to capitalize on any offers or deals that any player made towards me… this forced me into some tough decisions, but I’d rather be the one making those decisions than having them made about me.
I think the best element of my game was my social game. I made strong relationships with a lot of players, and those relationships were a major factor towards making it to the end. I made a point to avoid conflict with people and tried to get to know people on a personal level. In general, I just tried to have a good time and not take things overly seriously.
I think it’s pretty clear that my strategic and social gameplay paid off. There wasn’t one time in this game that I was in the voting minority, and there was not once in this game that I was ever truly in jeopardy. I also came into possession of a power the week Mike was evicted, but I had no need to use it ever in the game. And out of the final 5, I feel that I had a few different options for who I wanted to go with to the finals, but ultimately I decided to stick with my guns and go with the person I’d been working closest with for the whole game.
So that is my game in broad strokes, but I am sure that a lot more of the specific details about particular moves will come out in jury questioning. I hope that you keep an open mind as you ask your questions and vote for whoever you think played the best. But by no means take it easy on me because I am willing to work hard for your votes.
Thanks again guys, and best of luck Adam!
