I'm a little behind, but let's hear some of my thoughts...
So, Kate wins HoH. I was overall very impressed by the average competiton in this endurance challenge, but MAD PROPS to Kate for staying up the full 24 hours and only missing a few opportunities to post. This girl REALLY deserves the power this round, and I'm happy for her. Kudos to Adam and Johnny for doing very well too.
With that said, we've seen an alliance of Adam, Johnny, Kate, and Bradley form, though Adam is secretly not really a fan of Bradley, but he's chosen to play nice for now and it's probably in his best interest.
Let's take a second to talk about Johnny thought. First up, he became the 2nd person to claim a chest in this game, getting the power to challenge and take over a HoH if he plays his cards correctly. A wrong move could land him on the block with some extra votes against him.
However, I think that Johnny stepped up as a MAJOR contender this round. He's found himself clearly stuck between two emerging alliances, but he's playing his cards very smart. Speaking of other alliances, let's take a look at the "other side" of the house.
We saw Lindsay become the final person to break into one of the locked chests, claiming the power to fast forward a round and skip veto. It's too bad that she's looking like a VERY possible evictee this round and she'll not get a chance to use that power.
However, I think that Mike has become a very big target, but he has close allies in Lindsay and Sean, and then Sean has Britney on his side too. To me, this is the opposing force which will probably emerge against Adam, Bradley, Kate, and Johnny.
With Adam saving Dianna (ewww), it looks as if Mike will be the replacement nominee. Now, Adam and Mike are apparently on good terms, and Adam thinks that this was a good idea to stage a fight between them. Perhaps it's a good idea, but if I were Mike (and I know him quite well), I'd be PISSED that Adam had the gall to think that forcing a power flush was a good way to hide a secret bond between them. If I were Mike, these would be my words...
"Bitch PLEASE. You think I want to get rid of a power just to hide my connection with you when we're on shaky grounds as it is? Weren't you just coming after me last round? How does this make me want to trust you? Hellz no. Dumbest idea ever."
However, I'm not Mike, but I wouldn't be surprised if he is TICKED that Adam went about it this way. Even if Adam is genuine in wanting to work with Mike, why flush out a power that could help you in the end? Perhaps this proves that Adam doesn't trust Mike either. In my opinion, these two have no possible future as an alliance. If nominated in Dianna's spot, Mike will save himself to live another round, and Kate is gonna put up Lindsay in Mike's place. Then it's between Lindsay and Sean to leave. Those are Mike's two closest allies, and I doubt that he'll be happy about the outcome which was all Adam's doing in the end.
With all that drama aside, it leaves Sandra, Drew, and Nicki to fly under the radar. I'm not surprised with this for Sandra, as it's been her KEY strategy all game. I really want this girl to step it up. For real. Yes there are two sides forming which will go after one another, but eventually she will need to pick a side or else she'll be the pawn that goes home. Plus, if she waits too long to pick a side, she'll easily be the bottom of that side's totem pole. I dunno. I like Sandra a lot, but I feel like she's OVERPLAYING the weak card. Not gonna win her jury votes in the end.
Drew is just... meh. I gave him a little pep talk this round. He was feeling very depressed about the List and having been on the D-List 3 rounds in a row now. I told him that it's not the end of the game. I mean, this guy hasn't even seen the nomination chair, and I feel he's the most inactive player left aside from Dianna. Yes, Sandra seems inactive, but she's really not, though Drew told me he feels she's the most inactive.
Then there's Nicki. Lol this girl goes from OTT week 1, to MOR week 2, and now she's flying UTR? Now that's diversity. I said it in week 2... she's gonna play all angles, and I think she really can. My stock in her is rising as the rounds go. I think she's a deeper player than I originally thought. I wanna see her in a power position soon though to see if she knows how to handle the power.
CONCLUSION:
Well that's a lot to recap, but it seems Lindsay or Sean will be going home. I wanted it to be Dianna or Drew, but what can I do. I guess, in the end, I hope it's Lindsay. I like Sean better, and Lindsay did piss me off in round 1, though I'm not going to hold that against her.
Here's hoping that somehow Drew is the one to leave (nothing against him, except he's the most boring aside from Diana). Let's face it. This cast has a lot of interesting people. Drew's a nice guy, but compared to some of the rest, he's forgettable.
