.Together Yet Alone|:.
First up, seeing that we are entering Round 4, before the List is set for this round, we want to give all players a chance to once again impact their List placement. So, for this HoH, your placement in the challenge will affect your placement on the list, even if you are not the HoH. So, just like in Round 1, the better you do in the challenge, the higher up you'll be on the list. Our reasoning for doing it this round is because a few of you are very close to either having spent 4 rounds in a row on the A-List or 4 rounds in a row on the D-List. Which means you're either that much closer to winning an extra vote or losing your ability to vote the next time you're able to participate in an eviction vote.
Currently, as it stands, if Adam or Bradley manage to get on the A-List during any point of this round, they'll win an extra vote to be used up until the final 5. Similarly, if Dianna, Drew, or Sandra manage to be on the D-List at any point of this round, they will lose their ability to vote in the next eviction vote which they're eligible to vote in. So, the 5 of you have the most to gain or lose from this challenge.
One last comment about how this challenge affects the list. Since Kate cannot compete, she will automatically be placed 2nd on the list since any other outgoing HoH would normally bump down into the 2nd spot on the list when the new HoH takes their place. Thus, the winner of this challenge will be HoH and have the first spot on the list. 2nd place in this challenge will take the THRID spot on the list, 3rd place in this challenge will get the FOURTH spot on the list, etc., until the List has been reassembled top to bottom. Then, as always, the HoH will need to make one swap to start the round, and, voila, we'll have our List order to head into round 4.
For those of you "complaining" that you've been unable to influence your spot on the list, here's your chance!
Now, onto the HoH challenge itself...
PART 1
For this HoH, you will be working Together for some of it, and Alone for the rest of it. Using random.org, we divided the 10 of you who are competing into 5 pairs of 2. You will compete as pairs for the first portion of the challenge, and it's quite simple.
Each person will need to PM both Blake and myself a list of the other 4 teams in the order that they want that team to receive points, such that the team highest on the list gets more points and the team lowest on the list gets less points. Let's assume I'm on the Red Team, then my list could look like this:
Orange Team - 4 points
Yellow Team - 3 points
Green Team - 2 points
Blue Team - 1 point
Notice how I did NOT list my own team. And, had this been how I sent my list, I would have been giving Drew and Nicki 4 points each, Sandra and Adam 3 points each, Sean and Dianna 2 points each, and Johnny and Bradley 1 point each. Points are good, and will be added to your total in determining an HoH.
However, here's the catch. If you and your teammate don't send IDENTICAL lists, you will both lose all the points that the other players have given you. Thus, you must talk it over with your teammate to discuss which teams you will be giving which points for. However, in the end, if you don't send identical lists, the points that you have given away will still count, but the points that you get in return will be reduced to 0. The most points anybody can get for this portion of the challenge is 32, and that's assuming that each of the other 8 people not on your team all ranked your team first and that you also sent the exact same list as your teammate.
REMEMBER: You are PMing these lists such that once they are sent, you cannot change them. You may also post them in your DR, but the OFFICAL lists we will be counting are the ones you are PMing to BOTH BLAKE AND MYSELF!
PART 2
For the 2nd part of this HoH challenge, you can earn yourself points by answering the following questions. For each one you get exactly correct, you get 5 points. If your answer is within 1, you get 3 points, and if your answer is within 2, you get 1 point. All answers will be within the range of 0-11. There are 6 questions, which means a perfect score is worth 30 points for this portion.
Question 1
How many of the 11 remaining houseguests gave their self at least one "5" ranking on their original application in which you had to rank yourself on a scale of 1-5 in the areas of Strategic Ability, Competition Ability, and Social Ability?
Question 2
How many of the remaining houseguests ranked their Competition Ability highest of all three Ability rankings? (If they ranked their Competition the same as either or both of the Social and Strategic Abilities, this doesn’t count as being the highest. For example, if they ranked themselves as C=5, So=5, St=4, then that doesn't count.)
Question 3
How many of the remaining houseguests ranked themselves equally in all three Ability ranking categories? (That means they gave themselves 1, 1, 1 for example or 5, 5, 5.
Question 4
How many of the remaining houseguests ranked their Social Ability highest of all three Ability rankings? (If they ranked their Social the same as either or both of the Competition and Strategic Abilities, this doesn’t count as being the highest. For example, if they ranked themselves as So=5, C=4, St=5, then that doesn't count.)
Question 5
How many of the remaining houseguests gave themselves a combined ranking of 12 or more when adding the three category rankings together?
Question 6
How many of the remaining houseguests gave themselves a different rank for each of the three categories? Such that none of their ranks were the same as another rank. 2, 4, 5 would count but 4, 4, 3 would not because the 4 repeats.
Go ahead and PM your answers to the questions along with your list order from the first part of this challenge. Both your list and your answers to the 6 questions are due no later than 9 pm EST Saturday night. Seeing that it's the weekend, if you need extra time, just let us know! Best of luck while the ten of you work together AND alone. May the best houseguest win.
