For this challenge, you will be given a grid which includes 64 pictures. Then, you will be given a list of 64 random words. Your goal is to match each word with one of the 64 pictures by associating that word with the picture using a logical sentence.
For example...
1..............2..............3
If those are 3 of the pictures you have to choose from, and these are some of your words to choose from:
Gallop
Kick
Stretch
Mane
Smell
Round
Some examples of what you might submit include:
1. A horse can GALLOP.
2. You KICK a soccer ball.
3. A nose is used to SMELL.
Each of the above statements would get you 2 points for being STRONG associations.
Some weak examples include:
1. A horse is able to KICK.
2. You need to STRETCH before playing soccer.
3. My nose is ROUND.
These would all get you 1 point for being WEAK associations.
(STRETCH would be better suited for a picture of a rubber-band or putty, and ROUND would work with the soccer ball.)
Some non-examples include:
1. A horse is ROUND.
2. I can GALLOP to get to a soccer ball.
3. I can KICK my nose.
These would all score you 0 points for being non associations.
Get the point? So you'll have 64 words and 64 pictures. You must submit a statement for each picture (as you saw some of my examples above) which includes your chosen word in CAPITAL letters. As well, when you use a word, it CANNOT be reused. It IS possible to have a strong match for each picture if the words are used properly. Just remember that the more you are stretching the association, the less points you're likely to get, even if it is a logical sentence.
I was going to make this a sessions challenge which was timed to help create diverse scores, but I'm honestly not sure if I can trust you all to keep the list of words and pictures a secret. So, instead, you'll each get 24 hours to complete it. And, at the end of the day, if we end up with a tie, please answer the following tie-breaker question as part of your submission: How many TOTAL posts were made in the Living Room of BB Starz season 1? The closest guess will win the tie.
Please post your 64 associations in your DR as a numbered list, 1-64 and be sure to write COMPLETE SENTENCES with the word from the word list CAPITALIZED in each sentence. The deadline is 7 pm EST Thursday. A-Listers will get a bonus of being able to ask one question via AIM, PM, or their DR about whether a statement will count as a STRONG, WEAK, or NON association.
Best of luck to you all!
